Social Responsibility

Our commitment to human capital and social responsibility stems from the recognition that our future can only be secured through sustainable development. Thus, we pursue and create initiatives that arouse our sense of connection to the wider world and support the society and the environment we live in.
Our effort is focused in the following areas:

  • Addressing our community’s concerns
In September 2011, we joined forces with the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE)), the Citizens Movement, a non-profit association and Transparency International-Greece, to co-organize open discussions on important topics of the public arena under the umbrella title Greece: Reforms, Ruptures, Incisions. Our efforts are directed to a broad audience and our aim is to facilitate public dialogue between active citizens, experts and politicians for topics of interest.

  • Broadening our people’s experience
For some years now, we have created the Kantor Guest Speaker series. This initiative is addressed to Kantor employees and other selective guests and includes panel discussions and open speeches given by experts in their respective fields. Over the years, we have tackled areas including civilization, economics, history, philosophy, psychology, science, archaeology and religion.
  • Care for the community and the environment
We support the environment and help to preserve it for tomorrow One example of this was our organisation of a reforestation project on Mount Ymittos, in Attica, Greece. We have also support the community with donations to “Kivotos”, a foundation for children who have experienced neglect, racism and social exclusion, and to the “Union of Friendship and Solidarity between the People ‘The Dove of Peace’”.
