Athens - 16/07/2010 : Technical assistance for implementation of the Energy Community Treaty in Montenegro

Kantor Athens is one of the consortium members in a 1.5 m euro project. This project provides technical assistance such as trainings, workshops, development of action plans and procedures, updating of legislative documents etc. for institutional support and capacity building for the Energy Efficiency Unit of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Energy Regulatory Agency and other institutional stakeholders in order to:

• contribute to the progress of implementing the Energy Community Treaty,
• promote energy efficiency and renewable energy,
• to support the establishment of the regional electricity market including, the setting of tariffs; the establishment of interconnections; the defining of technical codes, market rules and other aspects of secondary legislation in the regional electricity market February 2010
