Junior Webmaster/interface/web designer "Brussels office"

The position

The Junior Webmaster/interface designer will work with our web product support team, primarily to support application testing; and content management system (CMS) support, for a major public website. This junior to mid-level position will be responsible for providing quality assurance and post production support for a browser based software product, working directly with software engineers. The technical environment includes various web browsers, manual and automated testing/scripting, Cold Fusion, SQL, HTML and Javascript.

You will be joining a team of IT professionals in a casual/flexible work environment, utilizing cutting edge technologies. The position offers to potential to become the primary decision maker for post-production and quality assurance.

Minimum requirements

At least one year of relevant work experience
Strong communication skills
Methodical and analytical mindset
Flexible team player, capable of working to tight deadlines
Fluent in English and French
Proven troubleshooting and trend analysis skills

Other skills that would be an asset:

Web design experience
Bachelors degree in Information Technologies or IT Engineering
Professional experience with software quality assurance
Experience with Javascript – in particular, Jquery
Test script development experience – ideally Selenium
Experience with Object Oriented programming – ideally ColdFusion
Experience with other web/software including CSS, Advanced text editor knowledge (e.g. Notepad++); HTML editor knowledge (e.g. Dreamweaver); FTP; Photoshop (basic knowledge); DB specs/development understanding
Experience with testing through different internet browsers; Users simulations; Stress Testing, Web integration of audio-visual material (i.e. Youtube); and understanding of social media and its use/application (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, linked-in etc.)
