Qualifications and skills

University degree at Masters level or a minimum 10 years of post-graduate professional experience in the area of energy economy, energy engineering or a relevant, directly related discipline.

General professional experience

Minimum 10 years of proven post-graduate professional experience in working the area of energy or a relevant, directly related discipline.

Post-graduate professional experience of at least 2 years in at least one of the GCC countries is an advantage.

Specific professional experience

Minimum of 5 years post-graduate professional experience of working as an expert in the field of international energy policy cooperation.

Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate professional experience in the implementation of research and development activities in the area of clean energy across all energy sectors.

Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate professional experience in the field of solar and/or carbon capture and storage technologies.

Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate professional experience through projects and/ or programmes in building up and maintaining networks of contacts with academia, research centres and universities, dealing with sustainable and clean energy technologies in the EU Member States and the GCC countries.

Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate professional experience through projects and or programmes in developing and/ or implementing EU-GCC cooperation events is an advantage.

Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
